One of the pleasures of a trip to Ashland is a stroll through our Downtown Ashland boutique shopping district.
You’ll find an eclectic mix ranging from art to fly fishing and puzzles to handcrafted furniture from Morocco! There are so many unique shops we can’t feature them all here so we’ve featured some of our favorites to check out while you are staying with us at The Bard’s Inn Hotel.
Everything Children
A top destination for the kids in your group is TreeHouse Books located right on the Plaza. Their creative window display changes regularly and is loved by adults too, together with their wide selection of books and more for all ages. Bug a Boo! of Ashland just across the street from the Plaza, provides a great selection of organic, educational, and kid-safe products, from colorful kids’ clothing to quality educational toys. Northwest Nature Shop is the place for nature lovers of all ages and it’s where you’ll find a range of educational and outdoor toys.
Gifts and More
Prize is a favorite destination for many visitors to Ashland because the selection of goods is world class. Home furnishings, vintage collections, timeless jewelry & clothing, classic leather accessories, apothecary essentials, letterpress cards & fine paper goods, and fancy tea & candies are just a few of the goods on sale. Travel Essentials is a one-stop-shop for all your travel needs; guide books, luggage, clothes, and electrical goods. Family owned and operated since 1994 and experts in world travel. If you are visiting Ashland for the Shakespeare Festival you’ll be able to delve even further into the Bard at the Tudor Guild Gift Shop. Then for those of you who are music aficionados, you will find a huge selection of vinyl and cds in The Music Coop, serving Ashlanders and visitors since 2001 after locating here from the Bay area.
Art and Crafts
Ashland is full of wonderful galleries and one featuring a selection from artists all over our community is Art & Soul at 247 East Main Street. Original works and prints are available in addition to framing. The Websters, located on the Plaza attracts knitters and weavers from all over the west who make an annual pilgrimage to the store to stock up on supplies for next year’s projects.
The Great Outdoors
Mountain Provisions is Ashland’s go-to for outdoor equipment and clothing. They’ll do everything they can to make your Southern Oregon adventures great and be sure to check out the shop dog, Ursa. If you are interested in fly fishing the Ashland Fly Shop has you covered. And Rogue Valley Runners, home of the Pine to Palm 100 mile endurance run, has all the shoes, equipment and clothes you’ll need for your run, whether long or short.
Gardens and Plants
Bestow at 1606 Ashland Street. has unique, hand-curated plants, goods from local artisans, and more indoor plant related items. Finally, right on the Plaza is Manzanita Home & Flowers where you’ll find a wide selection of cut flowers and flower themed gifts and decor items.
