About the Schneider Museum of Art

The Schneider Museum was first opened in 1986. The museum is located at the Southern Oregon university campus and was designed by architect Will Martin.

The museum is designed to fit in with the other buildings on campus, and it is beautifully built. The large glass paneling on the front is a work of art itself. This invites you to see the art inside.

The exhibits rotate, so even if you’ve been to the museum before, there will probably be something new for you to see on your next trip.

The museum’s next exhibit opens April 10th.

Can I take a tour?

Yes! The Schneider Museum of Art offers several types of tours for family and student groups.

In addition, every Tuesday at 12:30pm, the museum offers a free tour for everyone. This is a great opportunity to get a curated look around the museum. These tours will take you through several of the exhibits and help you gain a deeper knowledge of the art itself.
