Packing for Your Trip to Ashland, Oregon

Taking a vacation is both welcomed and necessary but packing for your getaway can be a drag. That’s why we’re here to ease the burden. So, before you head out, make sure you go through our checklist!

A Jacket

Regardless of season, you’ll want to bring at least a sweater to Ashland. While summer afternoons commonly peak in the high eighties, the evenings tend to drop to the low 50s. If you’re embarking on a sunset adventure, expect a few goosebumps to make an appearance.

We don’t like to boast, but the Bard’s Inn is conveniently located, making sneakers a must have. Whether you’re strolling along main street or taking in the natural beauty of Lithia Park, you’ll want shoes that are both comfortable and durable. Furthermore, Ashland, Oregon is a mecca for outdoor activity. From hiking trails to bike rides, tennis courts to ice skating, there’s too much fun that requires a pair of shoes conducive to rigorous activity.

A Camera

This goes without saying. The west coast is well known for its splendor and Ashland, Oregon is no different. In fact, we’d venture to say it’s home to some of the most spectacular views in the nation. That being said, you’ll likely find yourself amidst a backdrop you can’t help but capture on camera. We say go for it!

A Love for Shakespeare

Okay, so this may not be tangible, but it is essential. Ashland is home to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival with theatres located within walking distance from The Bard’s Inn. Guests get a thrill from the performances, young and old, making it a fabulous family outing.
