About Mount Ashland
Mount Ashland is run by the nonprofit Mt. Ashland Association. They are committed to providing the community with access to a diverse alpine environment and a fun family atmosphere. Located half an hour south of The Bard’s Inn, Mount Ashland has been the place to go for local mountain fun since 1964. Mount Ashland is over 7,000 feet tall, and has over 200 acres of skiable terrain. The mountain has over 23 ski runs and features a beginner area that’s separate from the more advanced terrain. Mount Ashland features two terrain parks for freestylers of all experience levels. With rails, boxes, jumps, and more, the terrain parks at Mount Ashland are a perfect place to explore your more adventurous side and have fun. January also marks the beginning of twilight skiing on Mount Ashland. As it gets dark, the lights come on and you can go skiing at Mount Ashland in the dark. Mount Ashland hosts many special events throughout the season. On January 18, from 5:00 – 9:00pm, experience the first of three Midwinter jams. The Midwinter Jam Series is three Friday nights in the winter featuring live music, night skiing, rail jams, and giveaways. Go up to Mount Ashland and experience live music for free while you hang out on the mountain or spend the evening skiing.
