ScienceWorks
ScienceWorks Hands-on Museum boasts fascinating exhibits, activities and live science shows. There is an outdoor garden, a “bubble room” where visitors can blow giant soap bubbles (or even get inside a soap bubble!), and a science playroom where kids can try various science challenges or just goof around. Public programs offered by ScienceWorks include workshops, lectures, birthday parties, summer festivals, and science camps.
Daniel Meyer Pool
Daniel Meyer Pool is an outdoor facility located in Hunter Park, at 1705 Homes Avenue in Ashland. The pool is open to the public for lap swim, open swim and lessons mid-June through Labor Day weekend.
Emigrant Lake
Just a few miles east of Ashland, Emigrant Lake offers a variety of recreational activities among its spacious 1400+ acres, which include 12 miles of lake frontage. On the water, enjoy swimming, fishing, boating, and water skiing. For even more fun, trek over to the playground or 280-foot two-track water slide.
Jackson Wellsprings
Natural warm springs form the centerpiece of this spa and events center. At Jackson Wellsprings, Families can swim and soak year-round in the warm water soaking pool, as well as the Olympic sized swimming pool. Every day, eighty thousand gallons of fresh water flow through the pools, so there is no need for chlorine—the naturally alkaline water allow for a natural soak without chemical additives. Steam room, sauna, and private soaking tubs are also available.
